Growing your Doula Business

How to become a Doula

Know the Law

In any care practice, you must continue to provide and uphold ethical standards. Being a Doula, of any kind, comes with responsibility. Being a birth doula, you are expected to know the laws of medical ethics in order to uphold integrity in your practice. Throughout your practice and RootedBirth teaching course, you’ll learn proper standards of medical ethics and what is expected and required.

Know Your Law

There are non-negotiables in Medical Ethics. And following the law is of the utmost importance for your business and personal integrity, as well as the care for your clients. As well, it’s important to know your own personal values, lines, and morals. Finding a balance between your personal values and lawful medical practices is important to building a sustainable business and clientele.
